Editorial Internship

We are on the hunt for our next star editorial intern, to work on the new and revamped Private Life Magazine – Liverpool’s leading luxury lifestyle publication.

As part of a busy editorial team, you will learn about and assist with all processes involved in putting together a glossy, current and completely talked-about city centre magazine. Your day might involve pitching story ideas in an editorial meeting; reviewing a new beauty product or live concert; compiling ‘What’s On’ guides; learning about photography, design and sub-editing processes; and helping to develop key PR and commercial relationships.

The ideal candidate will be studying a relevant degree subject in Liverpool and be interested in starting their career in the editorial/journalism field. You will have excellent attention to detail, creative flair and plenty of fresh ideas. An outgoing personality, ability to work under pressure to deadlines and willingness to push beyond your comfort zone would serve you well.

An interest in social media and photography would also be useful.

You will be willing to commit three days per week, for a three month period, after which time full references (and plenty of by-lines) will be provided. You will be based primarily in our Liverpool city centre studio.
